What is a Fashion Tech Pack

A Tech Pack is a kind of blueprint for your clothing design. It contains all the details needed to make your idea a reality. Think about fabrics, colors, sizes and how it should be put together. With a good Tech Pack, the factory knows exactly what to do.

Step-by-step explanation for a Tech Pack

1. Materials & Fabrics:

Please let us know which fabrics and materials you want to use.

  • Type of fabric: What do you choose? Cotton, polyester, wool?
  • Weight: How heavy (grams per square meter) should the fabric be?
  • Composition: E.g. 100% cotton or a blend of cotton and elastane.
  • Special treatments: Water-repellent or wrinkle-free?

2. Colors and Prints:

Tell us all about the colors and patterns.

  • Pantone colors: These are fixed color codes, which prevents confusion.
  • Prints: Where do you want them, and how big should they be?
  • Files: Send your print designs in formats such as AI, EPS or PDF.

3. Finish (Details and Appearance)

The final details make your clothing unique.

  • Sewing instructions: How should everything be put together?
  • Stitching details : E.g. which stitching you want, or which yarn to use.
  • Haberdashery : Think of buttons, zippers, and decorations such as embroidery.

4. Size and Fit:

For the perfect fit, provide the correct measurements.

  • Size chart: An overview of all sizes (for example XS to XL).
  • Fit: How do you want the garment to fit? Tight, loose, fitted?
  • Adjustments: Do you have special wishes per size? Let us know.

5. Labeling and Packaging:

  • Labels: Brand labels and washing instructions.
  • Hangtags: Price tags or brand labels that hang from the garment.
  • Packaging: How should it be folded and packed?
