Discover the Interactive Game Vests in the Image and Sound Museum
The Industrial Design department has enthusiastically developed the interactive Game Vests for the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. At the brand-new and unique Media Museum of Sound and Vision in Hilversum, you can playfully discover how media influences you and vice versa.
A Fascinating Insight into the Influence of Media
With over 50+ interactive installations, divided into five zones representing the media primal needs: Share, Inform, Play, Sell and Tell, you will gain a fascinating insight into the influence of media.
The Interactive Game Floor and the Game Vests
Our responsibility as designers was for one of the interactive exhibition spaces, namely the interactive game floor. Here, we designed the interactive Game Vests. These vests allow visitors to participate in the game in an interactive and immersive way. Thanks to this innovative and user-friendly technology, they experience a museum as an action game and discover what it's like to create and play a game.
Relativization of Media Culture
The primary message of the museum and this exhibition space revolves around putting media culture into perspective: the media define us, and we define the media. With the Game Vests, we invite visitors to participate in this process and become aware of their role in the media. The design of the Game Vests has been carefully tailored to the needs of visitors, with attention to comfort, ease of use, and interactive features.
Experience the Power of Interaction and Play
As industrial designers, we're passionate about creating unique and engaging interactive experiences. With the Interactive Museum Game Vests at the Museum of Sound and Vision, we contribute to a dynamic and educational environment where visitors can discover, experiment, and immerse themselves in the world of media. Visit the museum and experience for yourself the power of interaction and play in understanding the influence of media on our society.
